ENDUS Savunma ve Endüstriyel Sistemler is looking for structural design and structural analysis engineers. Requirements, and descriptions for both positions are given below:
POSITION: Structural Design Engineer:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Produce airframe structural configuration layouts / system installation design and detail designs including preliminary sizing/stress analysis, joint layouts, interface boundary definitions of parts and assemblies employing metallic and composite materials / secondary parts.
- Create and maintain CAD solid models and drawings of installations, assembly and detail components that meet all requirements such as structural integrity, interface boundaries, weight and cost targets as directed by the project engineer.
- Conduct periodic design reviews as required to ensure designs meet the requirements
- Interfaces with internal and external customers to present design development outputs
- Interfaces with procurement and manufacturing to facilitate the transition from design to production
- Review customer requirements and support decomposition to lower level requirements
- Candidates must have security clearance
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS or higher degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Experience in structures design
- Strong technical background with industry standards
- Experience with the metallic part design and its manufacturing processes, including extrusion, machining, sheet metal forming, forging, etc.
- Experience with the composite part detail process, including composites stacking sequence, lamination theory, honeycomb core, bonded assemblies, manufacturing assembly and fabrication processes, post-cure machining operations desired.
- Experience with assembly design, mechanical and bonded joints.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles including GD&T
- Fluency in mechanical modeling tool (CATIA V5 or V6)
- Ability to create and maintain parametric product geometry models
- Fluency in Microsoft Office tools
POSITION: Structural Analysis Engineer:
JOB DESCRIPTION
- supports the efforts to establish the challenging aircraft performance criteria by utilizing optimization methods and tools in order to obtain the most weight efficient, realistic and feasible structure,
- utilizes analytical methods, finite element and other analysis tools for supporting product design and verification of structural integrity throughout the product life cycle.
- reviews and approves engineering drawings,
- develops test plans, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify structural integrity,
- develops/executes certification and qualification plans to substantiate and validate airframe structures against customer and certification requirements,
- supports internal/external design reviews, critical milestones,
- supports structural requirements derivation and documentation,
- reviews, makes recommendations and approves reworks and repairs on manufacturing defects,
- Candidates must have security clearance
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS or higher degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- Experience in structures analysis
- Strong technical background with static analysis
- Solid knowledge of mechanics of material
- Fluency in FEA / CAE tool (MSc Nastran/ Patran, Abaqus, Hypermesh, Hypersizer, etc)
- Sound knowlage for hand calculation approaches
- Fluency in Microsoft Office tools
