Ph.D.
Each student enrolled in the Ph.D. program must have a paper based on their doctoral dissertation accepted for publication in a Q1, Q2, or Q3 journal indexed in either Web of Science or Scopus before appearing before the dissertation committee.
Master's Degree
Each student enrolled in the master’s program must prepare at least one of the following publications based on their master’s thesis before appearing before the thesis committee:
- A paper published in a journal indexed in Web of Science or Scopus
- A paper published in a national journal indexed in TR Dizin
- A paper published in the proceedings of a national or international conference
These publication requirements will take effect beginning with the Fall semester of the 2026–2027 academic year. Once the thesis committee has prepared an official record confirming that the publication requirement has been fulfilled, the thesis advisor shall submit it to the Department Chair.
