A TÜBİTAK 1001 project by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ender Yıldırım and Prof. Dr. M. A. Sahir Arıkan titled "Development and Application of an Ultrasonic Embossing Based Method for Fabrication of Metal Layers with Controlled Surface Quality for Thermoplastic Lab-on-a-chip Systems" is currently funded by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. In this project, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ender Yıldırım and Prof. Dr. M. A. Sahir Arıkan will develop a new scalable method for fabricating metal layers on thermoplastic substrates by ultrasonic assisted means, which eliminates the need for costly vapor deposition processes.
