The graduates of the B.S. program of the METU Mechanical Engineering Department,
- are sought for in jobs related to research, development, product design, and advanced technology; they become entrepreneurs, leaders, and pioneers in their professional careers,
- continue their career development through graduate studies and/or professional training,
- perform their jobs considering individual, social, and environmental aspects, while adhering to ethical values in their professional careers.
Master of Science Program Educational Objectives
The graduates of the program will
- demonstrate expertise in advanced concepts and apply analytical, computational, and experimental methods to solve complex engineering problems within specialized domains.
- engage in research and development activities that foster innovation, and contribute to scientific publications, industrial applications, or technology transfer in fields that align with emerging societal and engineering needs.
- demonstrate initiative, leadership, and effective communication while collaborating in multidisciplinary teams, and advance engineering projects in academia, industry, or government organizations with ethical and professional integrity

The graduates of the program will
