At the ISIF ‘24 – 9th International Inventions Fair, held in Adana on October 2-6, 2024, the invention titled "Pedestrian Chest Representative Physical Model" was awarded the Silver Medal.
This invention was developed as part of the doctoral research titled "Design, Analysis, and Experimental Study of a Novel Side Thorax Impactor to be Used in Pedestrian Protection Tests for Flat Front Vehicles", completed in October 2021 by Dr. Sevgi Saraç Karadeniz under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlhan Gökler, Faculty Member at the METU Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The award was presented to the inventors at a ceremony held at METU on January 20, 2025, by METU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil and METU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ender Ciğeroğlu.
